1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website and your registration for and participation in Sing Gita, Live Gita, a Samashti Gita Chanting event comprising the collective chanting of Chapter 15 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, to be held at PayPal Park Epicenter, 1123 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110, on Sunday, 6 September 2026, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM PT ("the Event"), organised by Chinmaya Mission San Jose ("CMSJ," "we," "us," or "our"). The Event is part of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav (CAM75), marking 75 years of Chinmaya Mission.

By accessing this website, completing a registration form, or attending the Event, you ("registrant" or "you") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use this website or register for the Event.

2. About the Event

The Event is a non-commercial, spiritual and cultural gathering organised by CMSJ as part of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav (CAM75), a global celebration marking 75 years of Chinmaya Mission. It comprises the collective chanting of Chapter 15 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. It will be held at PayPal Park Epicenter, 1123 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110, on Sunday, 6 September 2026, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM PT. CMSJ reserves the right to modify the event format, programme, schedule, or venue at any time, with reasonable prior notice to registered participants where practicable.

3. Eligibility and Registration

  • Registration is open to individuals of all backgrounds and nationalities.
  • Participants must be registered in advance through this website. Walk-in registrations are not guaranteed.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to complete a registration. Adults may register on behalf of minors in their care. The registration form includes a mandatory declaration confirming that the registrant is 18 or older; submitting the form constitutes acceptance of this declaration.
  • By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, complete, and current. CMSJ reserves the right to cancel registrations made on the basis of false or misleading information, without refund.
  • CMSJ membership, including Bala Vihar and CHYKS affiliation, must be accurately declared at the time of registration. Misrepresentation of membership status may result in cancellation of registration without refund.

4. Registration Fees and Payment

  • The registration fee is USD 25 per person, non-refundable.
  • Payment is processed exclusively through PayPal. By completing payment, you agree to PayPal's terms of service and privacy policy.
  • CMSJ does not collect or store your payment card details. All transactions are encrypted and handled directly by PayPal.
  • Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of successful payment. An incomplete payment does not constitute a confirmed registration.
  • In the event of a technical failure during payment, please contact us at info@cmsj.org before attempting a second payment to avoid duplicate charges.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

All registration fees are non-refundable. Please review the separate Refund Policy document for full details. By completing registration and payment, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this policy.

If CMSJ cancels or significantly alters the Event, please refer to the Refund Policy for the applicable terms.

6. Conduct at the Event

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the spiritual and devotional nature of the Event. By registering, you agree to:

  • Follow all instructions issued by CMSJ organisers, volunteers, and venue staff.
  • Refrain from behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful, dangerous, or inconsistent with the values of Chinmaya Mission.
  • Comply with all venue rules and regulations of PayPal Park Epicenter.
  • Not bring or consume alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, or any prohibited substances on venue premises.
  • Not engage in any commercial activity, solicitation, or unauthorised distribution of materials at the Event without prior written consent from CMSJ.

CMSJ reserves the right to remove any participant from the Event without refund if, in the reasonable judgment of CMSJ organisers, that participant's conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Event.

7. Photography, Videography, and Intellectual Property

  • All photographs, videos, and audio-visual recordings taken at the Event by CMSJ or its authorised representatives are the sole and exclusive property of Chinmaya Mission San Jose.
  • CMSJ may use such recordings for non-commercial purposes including on its website, social media channels, newsletters, and promotional materials. No compensation shall be payable for such use.
  • Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify CMSJ in writing before the Event. CMSJ will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
  • Participants consent on behalf of any minors they accompany or register.
  • Participants may not record, stream, or broadcast any portion of the Event programme for public distribution without prior written consent from CMSJ.
  • All content published on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and event materials, is the intellectual property of CMSJ and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

8. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

  • Participation in the Event is voluntary. By registering, you acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with attending a public gathering.
  • You confirm that you and any minors you register are in suitable health to attend and participate in the Event.
  • CMSJ will take reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment, but cannot accept liability for illness, injury, loss, or damage arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  • In the event of a medical emergency, CMSJ and its volunteers are authorised to seek appropriate assistance on your behalf.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • CMSJ, its officers, directors, volunteers, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss or damage arising from your registration, attendance at, or exclusion from the Event.
  • CMSJ shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property at the Event or on venue premises.
  • CMSJ shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such failure results from a force majeure event, that is, any circumstance beyond CMSJ's reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disaster, fire, flood, pandemic, epidemic, government order or restriction, venue closure, act of God, or civil disturbance. In such circumstances, CMSJ will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative arrangement where possible. The refund position in a force majeure scenario is governed by the Refund Policy.
  • CMSJ's total liability to any registrant, in any circumstance, shall not exceed the registration fee paid by that registrant.

10. Indemnification

By registering for the Event, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CMSJ, its officers, directors, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your breach of these Terms or the Privacy Policy
  • Any misrepresentation made in your registration
  • Your conduct at the Event
  • Any claim by a minor whom you have registered, arising from your consent given on their behalf

11. Privacy

Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Modifications to the Event

CMSJ reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event at any time. In such circumstances, CMSJ will notify registered participants as soon as reasonably practicable. Please refer to the Refund Policy for terms applicable to cancellation by CMSJ.

13. Website Use

  • This website is provided for the sole purpose of facilitating event registration and providing information about the Event.
  • You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the website or interfere with any other party's use of it.
  • CMSJ makes no warranty that this website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your participation in the Event shall first be referred to CMSJ for informal resolution. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Santa Clara County, California.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

16. Changes to These Terms

CMSJ reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the website or registration for the Event following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
